I am a super lucky gal, who has convinced her family to come to live in Guanajuato, Mexico for the better part of a year.
I am a teacher and am on a study leave so my goal is to learn Spanish well enough to chat with my students’ parents and learn about Mexican schools.
My son is in third grade and in a Waldorf School here that is conducted all in Spanish. I’m thinking he will learn a lot this year too.
This site is just a depository for my images and reports. Now that I have internet in my home, I think I will post more often….

Hey Linea,
Thats not lame at all. This blog Rocks! And I know, I’m a big time California movie producer!
What is “lucha” and what is “La Ultima Wipe?” I may have mispelled some of the words.
Your photos have such vivid colors. One feels as if one were in the picture.
I still think you need a field recorder….
Heather,
I still think you need to bring it down here personally.
I haven’t been able to keep up lately! You are REALLY on a roll with the blog, woman!
I’m playing catch up now…I absolutely LOVE the colorful images.
I stumbled upon your blog because of the wonderful name! Come visit us sometime. We have a 450-year-old ex-hacienda near Dolores Hidalgo that you might find interesting. Love those techo perros!

Linea,
I googled Pochote this morning as I zipped my suitcase for the final time. I was hoping for a more detailed street location than I currently have. I was amazed to find your website and wonder if it is the same place or even next door to the one I am renting. I will be arriving tomorrow 6/3. Pochote 15A will be my home for June. I, too, am a teacher hoping to improve my Spanish. I fell in love with Guanajuato a year ago and can’t wait to get back. My plan is to get a taxi from the airport in Leon and I am hoping to arrive “home” by midafternoon. It is exciting to think we might cross paths and I might learn from you before you depart. I would love school and other connections.
Hoping to connect! Beth Martin
Hi:) I came across your blog while researching Irapuato. My husband has an opportunity to spend 24 months in Irapuato and we are going in two weeks to visit. We have three boys (10, 8 and 6) and a precious 2 1/2 year old girl. Anyway, I googled Irapuato market and your blog entry popped up. After reading a couple of your entries, I realized that I am getting a little excited about going! Thanks for providing an interesting viewpoint of Mexico!
