Just FY everybody’s I, Butch is pronounced Bootch, with a Mexican accent.
She is adjusting very well, playing and getting into the chewing stage with gusto. We invested in some good chew toys right away – luckily.
She came seeming to know to poop outside on the balcony, we are still working on the peeing though. Mikko has risen to the occasion nicely. He is very diligent about cleaning up after her immediately. This is the perfect time for a new puppy, because most of our lives revolve around home. Matthew and/or I are home most of the day. And we have gotten all of our trips out of the way and are happy to take a break from traveling, possibly until our big journey home in July.
The dog below is who we believe to be her papa. We call him Shy Dog because … he’s really shy. We hadn’t seen him for months until the other day when we took her out, he emerged from his hole in the bushes. We couldn’t get close to him, so they never really met face to face
She has the same pensive look.

hey Lennea,
Hope this is the right place to write to you. Sorry I’ve been so bad about communicating. i have been readind your blog but usually a few months at once during spring and summer vacation. Aren’t you glad your not here? It’s been busy.
Actually it been a bad year for me and I don’t like to write when there’s not some good news.
It’s been a strange year with all of us so tightly scheduled that the 8 and 7 grade were like this little groups isolated at one corner of the top floor. the schedule had everyone stressed.
I don’t know if anyone has told you but you are the ELL teacher next year. Cesar has elected to leave. Actually a lot of people, including myself, will be leaving. The whole school is going self-contained so only teachers with certification for being self-contained are staying. Janice, Brook, Heather, Wayne(new this year) will all be gone. several K-8s in N/NE went sef-contained at the same time so human-resources is all in an uproar. Janice, Heather and Cesar have found places so the rest of us are waiting to see where we go. No one is fighting it or seems really upset. I think everyone is tired of all the changes and cuts each year and ready to give up the ghost.
I’d write more but the bell has rung and I have a question. Wilma is planning a multi-cultural assembly on May 21, She’s asked me to collect the outfits. Can we use some of yours? I’ll call your old house number and asked but thought I should contact you, too.
Your website is great. Been thinking about you even if I haven’t written. Mostly with envy! Sounds like youve been having a great year!
